About the app

Desk Lite shows the OfflinAI apps on your computer as objects on a wooden desk: a book, a mug, a laptop, a plant, a lamp or a notebook. Each one has its own color and its initials, and it always looks the same. Hover over an object to see the app's name, and click it to open the app.

Drag the objects wherever you like. The arrangement is remembered, and it still fits when you resize the window. New apps take the first free place on the desk, and Tidy up puts everything back in rows.

Apps that are available but not yet installed sit on the desk as boxes with a plus. Hover to see the name and purpose. Click a box and the app asks you first, then installs through the OfflinAI Launcher, which checks the package and its signature. A turning ring shows while it installs, and the app then appears as an object. This needs the OfflinAI Launcher to be installed and set up with a catalogue.

A sheet of paper on the desk holds a quick note. Click it to open it beside the desk. The note is saved a second after you stop typing, as a plain Markdown file, so you can open it in Notepad Lite or any editor. If the file is changed somewhere else, you see the change. If both changed, the other text is kept in a second file so nothing is lost.

There is no AI in this app. It makes no network connections of its own. Installing goes through the OfflinAI Launcher. Everything stays on your device, there is no account, and no data is collected.

Desk Lite is a simple, pleasant way to reach your apps. It is not a 3D scene, and it does not sit over your real desktop. Installing, updating and removing apps is the launcher's job.
